Press Release Summary = Group of reservations agents take field trip to Yosemite
Park hotels.

Press Release Body = Last week several of the reservations agents for National Park
Reservation embarked on a group trip to Yosemite National Park where they enjoyed
tours and dinners at various lodges/hotels we do bookings for.

It was a fun trip and the weather in California was ideal! According to those that
went it snowed lightly midway through the week for a day but an enjoyable time was
had by all. The trip began with an hour drive from Fresno Yosemite International
Airport. They reported the roads were clear and chains were only used as required
within the park itself. The first stop was the Tenaya Lodge where the soft,
comfortable down feather beds were just the remedy for a weary group that didn\'t get
in until after midnight. Equally impressive was the magnificent stone fireplace
inside the stately lobby area. The lobby itself was decorated with pine trees and
tiny white lights adding to the charm of this already charming lodge.

The Tenaya Lodge was only the beginning for this group. They also enjoyed the
Wawona Hotel, with its Victorian Style architecture and inviting veranda\'s. A
special mouthwatering lunch was provided by the Wawona\'s own chef. After lunch
everyone was excited to tour the grounds including a signature 9-hole golf course
which wraps around the Wawona property, a real treat for the avid golfer!
There are no TV\'s, telephones or radios at the Wawona, giving visitors the
opportunity to indulge in a simpler world of relaxation, community and
contemplation; just what the national parks are known for. The same peace exists at
other lodges visited including the Yosemite Lodge, Curry Village, and the infamous
Ahwahnee Hotel. The staff at the lodges visited was more than courteous and helpful
and the grounds themselves were, as everyone agreed, amazing.
It is indeed the "off-season" for Yosemite National Park which means that some of
the lodging options are not available or offer limited availability during the
winter months however it also means there are much fewer people crowding the trails
and buildings of this, the most popular of National Parks.
